5. Josiah Willard, born at Concord, ca 1636, died 1674, married Mar. 3, 1656/7 Hannah Hosmer; resided some years at Hartford, COnn., rem. ca 1662 to Wethersfield where he kept school for many years. Their eighth child:

WOODFORD
From "The Woodford Family" sent by MessMabel Lovett Bishop (2612) of Avon, Connecticut.
Thomas Woodford (ca 1600-1667), the first Woodword in New England, probably in Lincolnshire, came to Massachusetts with London. He landed in Boston , June 5, 1632, and settled first in Cambridge. In 1633 he came to Hartford with Rev. Thomas Hooker's cmpany, becoming one of the original settlers; married Mary Blott March 4, 1635, Children:
1. Mary m. Isaac Sheldon
2. Hannah m. 1659 Samuel Allen
3. Sarah b. 1649; m. 1664 Neb Allen.
(From these daughters mentioned in Thomas's will were descended such personages as Paul Revere, Ethan Allen, F. D. Roosevelt and J. P. Morgan.)
4. Joseph b. ca 1645- d. 1701) m. Rebelah Newell dau. Thomas. Their son:
