Thomas Cook Sr., latest survivor of the signers of plantation covenant. His name is on immediately preceding that of Mr. Whitfield and is the last but one on the list. he was representative of Guilford to the General Assembly in Hartford, May Session, 1666. He married (1) Elizabeth ------- and (2) March 15, 1668, widown hannah Lindon. Children:
i. Elizabeth Cooke, born 1640, married 1662, Samuel Hall, son of John Hall of Middletown, grand father of Hillan Hall.
ii. Thomas Cooke, born 1642; died 1703.

CRUTTENDEN*

Abraham Cruttenden (c.a. 1610-1683). It is said that he came from teh County of Kent, England and been a neighbor of William Chittenden whose widow he afterwards married. he was successively overseer of the mill bay dams and floodgates, assessor, townsman. His first wife Mary- [handwritten: Hinkin] who died in 1664 was the mother of all his children:
His daughter Mary Cruttenden (ca 1632-1669) married 9.14.1650 Deacon George Bartlett. Their daughter, Hannah Bartlett, b. 1658, married 1679, Capt. Stephen Bishop, born in 1655.

CURTISS
(Genealogy of the Curtiss Family, by Frederick Haines Curtiss, Boston, 1903).
William Curtis came to new England in the ship Lyon which sailed from London, June 22, 1632. He was a native of Nazing, Essex Co., England. Landing at Boston, New England, September 16, 1632, he proceeded to Roxbury where his brother-in-law, John Eliot, the "Apostle to the Indians", had settled the previous year.
On the record of Nazing, we find that William Curtiss was baptized November 12, 1592 and married Sarah Eliot, daughter of Bennet of Nazing,
